Picture this: it is the summer in the year 2009 in London. The weather is hot but the breeze of a fan temporarily cools the skin down as its head turns from side to side. With a Vogue career’s handbook in one hand, I had begun listing down the universities I wanted to attend. A week prior I had visited King College London to learn about their engineering course with my primary school at the time. It was too premature for us to go looking back now, but it was that trip that inspired me to look at my future and all the opportunities that were to come. After countless pages of universities later, I ranked them. And at the top, my dream school, was Central Saint Martins.
I never thought I would make it and really achieve my childhood dreams, but here I am. and with the end approaching so quickly, it had not occurred to me that I would already be missing this chapter of life so much. We all knew it was coming, and we all knew that there was nothing we can do about getting older and becoming adults, but nothing really prepares you for this moment. Looking back, where there are bad times, there have been good times and that alone eliminates all the stresses and fears that came from completing this degree. In retrospect, we look back three years and celebrate the last years of education. Now at this point in my life, at twenty-one years old, it seems better than ever to pay homage to my peers and tutors alike for I did not make this achievement on my own and have many people to thank. I hope you enjoy reading along and experience all the fun things I was able to create whilst here at CSM.
