1 CONCEPT AND VISION
The team was entrusted with shaping the first London activation for the pioneering global collaboration between Nike and The LEGO Group - a multi-year initiative centred on the belief that active sport and creative play are deeply interconnected forces in a child’s development. This project aimed to manifest that philosophy through a physical experience in the heart of the city that would invite kids and families alike into a world where play and performance coalesce.
The team was entrusted with shaping the first London activation for the pioneering global collaboration between Nike and The LEGO Group - a multi-year initiative centred on the belief that active sport and creative play are deeply interconnected forces in a child’s development. This project aimed to manifest that philosophy through a physical experience in the heart of the city that would invite kids and families alike into a world where play and performance coalesce.
2 PLAY AT THE CORE - ARTISTIC INSPIRATIONS
At the heart of the PLAY Arena concept was a synthesis of Nike’s athletic energy and The LEGO Groups’s iconic imaginative language. Rather than presenting sport and play as separate modes of engagement, concepts embraced their shared visual DNA - rhythm, movement, structure, and modular creativity. Nike’s dynamic forms and athletic motifs paired with The LEGO Group’s bright, constructive aesthetic inspired a spatial narrative rooted in challenge, exploration, and invention.From reimagined football drills to custom LEGO® table football,this resulted in a playground not just of physical games, but of playful invention.

3 EXECUTION AND OUTCOME
Held at the Warren Sports Pitch, the experience invited kids aged 9–14 to test new drills, engage with playful football-inspired challenges, and interact with LEGO® build zones. These became cultural moments additionaly, with affluent guests such as internet personality Chunkz being invited to engage with participants.
This activation sat within a broader global effort by Nike and the LEGO Group to create immersive experiences and co-branded products that inspire active, creative play around the world - aiding with cementing it further in the city as a collaboration to keep looking forward to in the upcoming years.
